"Early Transportation in Wisconsin"
Speaker: James Willaert from Old Wade House

James Willaert is a curator at Wade House, the Wisconsin Historical Society's living history museum in Greenbush (near Sheboygan). Mr. Willaert will share how technological advancements brought significant changes to the way we lived, worked and Early Transportation traveled in the late nineteenth century. Transportation in Washington, Ozaukee, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Counties were hubs of activity competing to bring farm goods and resources from the interior to the ports along the state’s east coast. He will show how plank roads and railroads helped bring this to fruition. Come and learn more about early transportation.
